Dr Giovanna Martínez-Arellano

Dr. Giovanna Martínez-Arellano is a Research Fellow in Data Science at the Institute for Advanced Manufacturing at the University of Nottingham. She has a background in computer science specialising in the application of Data Analytics and Machine Learning techniques in Manufacturing Systems. Being involved in the H2020 MC-Suite project and the IAA Proof-of-concept award, she has developed her experience in the use of deep learning for condition monitoring. She has worked closely with industrial partners such as BMW, where she has delivered process monitoring applications based on advanced data analytics. She is currently involved in the EPSRC Manufacturing on a Shoestring project, where she is involved in the development of easy to deploy low-cost digital solutions, particularly with industrial machine learning.
